Our Chapter, Iota Epsilon

The Iota Epsilon chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was founded at the University of North Florida in 2017. Our sisters have worked hard to build the chapter into what it is today. Alpha Delta Pi, or ADPi for short, has grown to be one of the largest sororities at UNF with over 80 sisters. Although we have a large family, all of our sisters are connected and have grown to create beautiful friendships that will last a lifetime. We have received the Sorority of The Year Award from the Greek Community in 2019 as well as the Chapter of Excellence designation in 2019, 2020 & 2021. In 2020, we received additional awards for Continual Improvement and Personal Growth. In 2021, we received the Community Engagement award for our chapter's dedication to external involvement, philanthropy and community service. We are very proud of our accomplishments and love how hard our sisters work to make our chapter better every day.

Alpha Delta Pi

Alpha Delta Pi is an international sorority that was founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. ADPi was the first secret society for women and paved the way for other secret societies. ADPi was originally called the Adelphean Society and was founded by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald when she went to college at the age of 16 , because it was rare to see women in college, she gathered her friends and created a place for women to grow. Our philanthropy is Ronald McDonald House Charities which is an organization that takes care of families with sick children allowing them to focus fully on their child/children. Our open motto is "We Live For Each Other," this shines through with the relationships, love, and loyalty we have for all of our sisters. We have a mascot named Alphie, a lion. The four-pointed diamond is our symbol which is representative of strengthening character and personality, watching attitudes toward fellow beings, recognizing the value of high educational standards, and developing faith and loyalty. Our colors are Azure blue and white. Blue symbolizes friendship, the basis on which Alpha Delta Pi was founded. White symbolizes sincerity and truth. Our flower is The Woodland Violet.

Alpha Delta Pi Foundation

The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation was created to give back to our sisters, especially in times of need. They provide sisters with emergency grants in times of crisis, scholarships, and leadership training for collegiate and alumnae sisters. They also work hard to fund resources to stop hazing, support mental wellness, preservation of our monuments and memorials, and countless other things. During the 2020-2021 year, they raised over $3,400,000! With this money they were able to give 147 academic scholarships, give money to new and milestone chapters, grants for 5 chapter houses, investment in the preservation of historical organization-related archives and artifacts, leadership programming, and fund resources for anti-hazing, mental wellness, addressing sexual and relationship misconduct, binge drinking, and bullying. The foundation also gave more than $49,000 in Abigail Davis Emergency Grants and Clasped Hands Fund Grants to members, both collegiate and alumnae in finical distress. They also provided chapters with resources to assist us in raising more than $1,004,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and other non-profit organizations. In Alpha Delta Pi Foundation's Day of Giving, on May 15, 2021, they were able to raise $1,032,016. We are very grateful to be a part of such an amazing foundation that will always support us as we support them.
