Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is an organization we hold close to our hearts. RMHC was founded in 1974 as a nonprofit organization with the goal of helping families physically, economically, and emotionally as well as supporting the health and well-being of children. RMHC is for families of pediatric patients who need a home to stay in. We are fortunate enough to have the Jacksonville RMHC only twenty minutes away from campus. We love volunteering with the kids to make their stay at RMHC feel more like home. Our sisters have decorated their rooms for holidays like Halloween and Christmas, as well as making cards and care baskets for the children and families. We love serving RMHC and seeing the instant gratification from the families and staff.

Picnic With The Pi's
Picnic With The Pi's is our spring philanthropy event put on by our Director of Philanthropy. In 2022 so far, we have raised over $5,200 that was donated to RMHC. We raised this money through tabling, fundraising, and our Pie a Pi event. We also held a pie eating contest that members of the greek community competed in, along with yard games and a pop tab competition. We had so much fun spending time with our community to raise money for this amazing charity.
The Max Gruver Foundation
Max Gruver was a student at Louisiana State University in 2017 and a member of Phi Delta Theta. On September 14th, 2017, Max passed away as a result of a hazing event. From a journal that Max's parents found, they were able to turn his tragic death into a learning experience. Max's journal read, "God works in funny ways. He does bad things sometimes because in the end they are good. Something bad may happen to you, but it may happen because it will make you better. He does bad to ultimately create good." With this message in mind, Max's parents, Stephen and Rae Ann Gruver created The Max Gruver Foundation.

Max Gruver's mother, Rae Ann, joined Alpha Delta Pi during her time at Clemson University. This affiliation helps us have an even deeper connection with the foundation. During National Hazing Prevention Week, September 19-23, we help to raise awareness, educate our community, and fundraise to put an end to hazing. As members of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, we strongly believe "these hands don't haze;" we never have and never will participate in hazing. We encourage other members of Greek life to follow in our footsteps to ensure no one has to go through what Max went through and no family has to go through what The Gruver family went through.
Our sisters not only volunteer within our chapter, but love participating in other philanthropy related events both within and outside of the Greek community!
